AwanBiru Technology Berhad (Awantec) took part in World Halal Business Conference (WHBC), organised by Halal Development Corporation Berhad (HDC) to catalyse solutions and wealth creation via technological breakthroughs.
Previously known as the World Halal Conference, WHBC was hosted by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry. The conference focused on three strategic matters of investment promotion, trade negotiations and halal skill talent in accelerating halal business development.
Perfectly positioned with its twin business verticals of Technology and Talent, Awantec partake in the virtual conference to support the notion of growing and upskilling halal human capital towards national recovery as one of WHBC’s strategic partners.
Representing Awantec in the conference, Dr. Peter Lee Fuei Siong, Director, Talent and Development spelled out the broad approach of leveraging online learning to lead halal industries and Malaysia towards recovery.
“Everyday we hear people talking about technology and digitalisation. I think the key question here is how well do we understand these topics, to be able to discuss them intelligently. It is imperative that we learn and understand them well, for this digital revolution that we are in, there is no u-turn to it. You either go ahead with it, or you will be left behind.
Halal Integrated Platform (HIP) Percipio knowledge hub, which was recently launched by HDC is a good platform for us to be ahead of the curve. HIP houses various learning contents in one singular platform, from halal industries, digital transformations, leadership skills and various other quality contents in building the right skill sets to create future halal human capital.
The universality of HIP allows the learning contents to be accessible via any devices, anywhere, rendering the upskilling and reskilling of the future halal talents to be done at any time that is convenient,” he added.
The WHBC was officiated by Minister of International Trade and Industry, Yang Berbahagia Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali, and attended by Government representatives, scholars, academia and business owners to rally collective opinions as well as collaborations in driving the Halal industry.
