Overview
Network forensics is the investigation of network traffic in order to identify security incidents, intrusions, and other potential problems. It is a crucial component of modern security, and the skills required to carry out network forensics are in high demand. Wireshark is an open-source network protocol analyzer that is widely used for network forensics, troubleshooting, and network analysis.
This course provides an in-depth understanding of network forensics with Wireshark. It covers the fundamental concepts and skills required to identify and analyze network traffic, including protocol analysis, network traffic capture, packet filtering, and more. Participants will gain hands-on experience using Wireshark to capture and analyze network traffic in a variety of scenarios.
Prerequisites
Participants should have a strong working knowledge of interconnecting device functionality (e.g. switch, router, NAT, etc.) and the TCP/IP protocol suite (e.g. ARP, TCP, UDP, IP, DHCP, ICMP, etc.)
