Ainun Mardziah has more than 25 years of professional experience, covering a wide spectrum of accounting and finance functions, including corporate finance, taxation, treasury, risk management and investment.

She made her debut in 1996 as an Audit Trainee with KPMG. She then made her way to Anuarul, Azizan, Chew & Co. as an Audit Officer, and later Koperasi Kakitangan Petronas Berhad as an Account Executive for one of its subsidiaries in 2000. She moved into the holding company in 2004 as Head of Credit Control. In 2005, she joined Sapura Resources Berhad, holding multiple positions from Account Executive and Head of Accounting to Acting, Chief Financial Officer in 2019.

Ainun Mardziah formally assumed the Group Financial Controller role for Awantec on 4 May 2021. Her years of experience in accounting and corporate finance will enable her to take on key responsibilities such as reevaluating the fundamentals of the company’s financial operations, building a comprehensive and integrated reporting system, and improving risk management among others.

Ainun Mardziah is a Chartered Global Management Accountant of Chartered Institute Management Accountants, and is a Chartered Accountant of Malaysian Institute of Accountants.
