“In recent years, employers are increasingly seen to favour an all-around talent that is equipped with digital skills when it comes to recruiting new employees. With digitalisation going into full throttle post pandemic, it is necessary for jobseekers to be highly skilled, adaptive and resilient. The pandemic will continue to create a significant impact on businesses and the country’s growth will depend on the future-ready workforce. The demand for highly specialised talent, particularly in areas such as Internet of Things, software development, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, blockchain technology, robotics, project migration and change management will be on the rise. ASSB’s partnership with Keduca through Executive College is timely as it allows talents and organisations to fully unlock their tech skills and unleash their potential. This partnership will also allow ASSB to extend our presence and to provide training services throughout the East Malaysia market especially in Sarawak, a market with plenty of promise and capacity for expansion” Director, Talent and Development, Dr Peter Lee Fuei Siong said.

As the nation’s catalyst for digital transformation, Awantec has always been determined to focus on its core DNA, the confluence between talent and technology. In tandem with supporting the nation’s digital economy agenda to drive sustainable economic growth, Awantec through the products and solutions from its partnership with Skillsoft Percipio and Rocheston is able to create high-value job opportunities for the Sarawakian locals and meet the country’s workforce needs by producing highly skilled digital talents and to close the skill gap for existing workforce.

The strategic partnership between ASSB and Keduca is set to meet the country’s industrial landscape demands in creating a pool of technologically ready talent coupled with soft skills in critical thinking, problem solving capabilities as well as the right leadership skills where it is vital for graduates to keep pace with the rapid changes in technological advancement and meet industry demands.

“Through this collaboration, Awantec anticipates students and educators in the educational institution throughout Sarawak would benefit from the Skillsoft Percipio and Rocheston cybersecurity training module. Awantec remains committed to supporting the nation’s digital economy agenda by ensuring that the workforce is ready for the demanding realities of the workforce of the future.” Dr. Peter Lee Fuei Siong added.
